  BOOMING IN SKI COUNTRY

They may disagree on many issues but ski resort operators, environmentalists and real estate developers have one thing in common: They are often unable to manage the problems of employee housing and traffic congestion caused by rapid growth. A conference at Colorado's Keystone Ski Resort June 7-10 aims to resolve those problems. The Boom in Mountain Living: Sustaining Quality of Life through Collaboration is sponsored by the Pinchot Institute for Conservation, the Forest Service and Snow Country magazine; speakers include Assistant Secretary of Agriculture Jim Lyons and Myles Rademan, planning director for Park City, Utah. The registration fee is $195; for more information contact the Tourism Resource Center, P.O. Box 6286, Denver, CO 80206 (303/355-5047).
