The organizers of Connecting Mountain Islands and Desert Seas have issued a call for papers on the natural and cultural resources of the Madrean Archipelago in Arizona, New Mexico and northern Mexico. The Big Sky Documentary Film Festival will take place Feb. 20-25 in Missoula, Montana. The festival is open to nonfiction films and videos of all styles, genres, and lengths made after Jan. 1, 2003; entries filmed earlier will screen separately.
