Colorado water map

To help end the chronic battling over water in Colorado, a group has formed to provide impartial information on water issues. The nonprofit Colorado Water Education Forum is made up of 33 volunteers representing virtually every water interest in the state, ranging from farmers and dam builders to environmentalists and wildlife agency staffers. The group's first project is the Colorado Water Resource Map, a color poster showing all the rivers, dams, reservoirs and diversion tunnels in the state, together with statistics on water use in Colorado. The forum also plans to develop water resource guides for all grade levels. Maps cost $8.50 from the Colorado Water Education Forum, 21593 Hill Gail Way, Parker, CO 80134-7247 (303/840-2845).
