The eight-week summer program, sponsored by the National Science Foundation, is "a research program into the nature of research itself," using the problem of acid mine drainage in the nearby San Juan Mountains to investigate the scientific, philosophical and public policy issues surrounding environmental research. Participants in the program will receive tuition, room and board, and a weekly stipend. The application deadline is March 16.
