Tower of Stars

Tower of Stars

Situated between the heavens and Earth, lookout towers are observatories for all manner of natural and mystical events. The tower in this image is located in a wilderness where I don’t see any permanent artificial lights directly. It took a 30-second exposure to reveal the faint, orange glow of the lights of Boise - 164 air miles away. But the brilliance of our galaxy’s arms in a wilderness sky prevails! Location: Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness, 26 July 2019
