Water   Return to contest page »

The 2015 photo contest has ended

Lauren Harrod, 20, jumps over a puddle in Lincoln, Nebraska on Sept. 7, 2015 after eating dinner with a friend in the Haymarket District. It had been a rainy, overcast day, but blue skies made a brief appearance just as evening set in. The rainwater’s reflection now held its origin: the sky. I took this photo because it was different to see the clouds on the ground. It also shows the versatility of water: its beauty, its necessity for life and its ability to cater to recreational purposes. You don't have to travel far to appreciate the significance of water.
