In February, HCN contributing editor Michelle Nijhuis reported on what looked like evidence of a wolf or wolves living on High Lonesome Ranch, a vast spread of private land in northwestern Colorado. To be sure, wildlife biologists ran DNA tests on what they thought was wolf scat. Now, the results are in and they aren't what biologists expected: the scat belonged not to wolves but to coyotes. In this episode of High Country Views, Nijhuis discusses the test results and what they mean.
