I enjoy your publication and especially liked “The best little bookshops in the West” (HCN, 9/15/14). I am a faithful shopper of Changing Hands, two miles from my home. However, you missed one very important shop — Singing Wind Bookshop, in the middle of a cattle ranch in Benson, Arizona. They are visited by worldwide customers and have been publicized in many publications. Big goof! Keep up the good work.

Associate editor Brian Calvert replies: Thanks for the tip, Mary. We love how many secrets the West holds, even if they aren’t so secret to some. We have tried to give people a sampling of the wonderful bookshops still out there in the region, but there was no way to be all-inclusive. Still, we appreciate your letter and support.
