Based on an Indian legend warning against gambling and greed, this suspenseful and engaging novel blends tribal history, water disputes, illegal land swaps, and political corruption. Matt Dillon, Indian sculptor and special agent for the Arizona Gaming Commission, goes undercover to investigate casino gambling. Along the way he meets a red-headed wildlife rehabilitator, a feisty journalist, and a tourist-scamming prospector, and unearths a conspiracy leading to the White House.
