WAYS TO SHARE HCN WITH STUDENTS

High Country News is a terrific tool for your natural science, law or environmental journalism syllabus. Use us in your classroom to illustrate real-world happenings from complicated water policy issues to wacky Western personalities. Every issue will spark the imagination, and the resulting discussions are sure to be lively and thought-provoking.

If you don't want to incorporate HCN into your lesson plan, you can still turn-on any student to our award-winning coverage of the American West's most important issues with a FREE digital subscription (details below).

High Country News is committed to the education of young people interested in the American West and offers several ways to use the magazine free or at very little cost.

Bulk Copies Mailed to the Classroom

For only $5 per student, per semester (8 issues), you can have copies of the magazine mailed directly to your classroom. Contact JoAnn@hcn.org to get the ball rolling.

Student Print Subscription

For only $10, students can go online and sign up for their own subscription. You supply them with a promotional code (contact JoAnn@hcn.org to obtain your school code) and send them to hcn.org/subscribe to take advantage of this offer.

Subscription includes:

• Eight print issues (one semester) mailed directly to the home or dorm room

• Full access to subscriber-only content on hcn.org

• Page-flipping digital edition that looks just like the print version (sample)

Student Digital Subscription
