The Nature Conservancy seeks a finance/economics specialist to develop and implement a sustainable funding strategy for freshwater conservation work throughout the Colorado River Watershed. The Resource Economist will conduct research and analyze funding models, make recommendations, and lead the efforts to implement sustainable funding plans. This position manages this key project and collaborates with field staff, Conservancy senior management, and partner organizations to bring sophisticated business, financial, and economic expertise to the design and implementation of this strategic initiative. Therefore, knowledge of public financing mechanisms, ballot initiatives, ecosystem services, water utilities, and hydropower is desirable, recognizing that a candidate may only have some of this experience.  Requirements include: master’s degree or PhD in finance or economics and 10-12 years of experience, or a combination of education and experience. ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE ADMINISTRATOR

The Great Basin Institute is looking for a highly motivated Accounts Receivable Administrator to join our multi-disciplinary team. The Accounts Receivable Administrator will be responsible for ensuring timely billing and collection of contracts and agreements. In addition, this administrator ensures all outstanding and overdue accounts are recovered, and evaluates credit policy and procedures in relation to customer debt management. You will also be required to assist the Financial Manager in all functions of the accounts receivable section, and provide additional support as required.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential:
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
•    Fundamental understanding of account receivables and credit control areas, with a minimum of two years experience.
•    Experience with administration of federal grants and agreements.
•    Demonstrated time management and planning skills.
•    Ability to communicate with people at all levels of the organization, clients and industry contacts, in a professional manner.
•    Demonstrated problem solving skills, including the ability to analyze issues and problems, and provide recommendations.
•    Proven proficiency using Quickbooks and MS Office applications.

Desirable:
•    3-5 years experience.
•    Prior experience with federal grant reporting systems or considerable experience using a similar system.
•    Environmental and Nonprofit Industry experience.

Anchorage, AK, Audubon Alaska, a program of the National Audubon Society, seeks an Executive Director to lead its statewide program, which has played key roles in passage of the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act, creation of the Alaska Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve, protection of the coastal plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and Teshekpuk Lake from oil drilling, and many other issues. Because Audubon Alaska’s program is national and international in scope, Audubon Alaska staff work closely with Audubon’s public policy staff in Washington, DC, with staff from other state and national organizations, and with colleagues in Russia and other countries with which Alaska shares interests and concerns. The Executive Director should understand and appreciate both science and policy advocacy and ensure that Audubon’s programs in both areas are tightly linked.

The Executive Director position oversees all Audubon programs within the state, supported by 8 staff, with a budget of $1.2 million. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker who is an effective team builder; has extensive experience working with volunteer boards, grassroots, and other NGOs; and possesses proven fundraising skills. Knowledge of the area’s conservation issues is highly desirable, as is the ability to be a clear and persuasive advocate for Audubon priorities in the region. This is a fast-paced, exciting, leadership position, requiring superior interpersonal skills and progressively responsible senior-level management experience. Trout Unlimited, Wyoming Energy Field Staff — Trout Unlimited (TU), North America’s leading coldwater fisheries conservation organization, works to protect, restore, and reconnect critical trout habitat throughout the West. Wyoming has been at the forefront of the development of energy resources on public lands. Wyoming is also renowned for healthy populations of wild and native fish as well as robust herds of elk, deer, antelope, and other big game animals. We are seeking a staff member to design and implement campaigns that organize hunters and anglers to prevent irresponsible energy development in high quality fish and wildlife habitat on federal lands in Wyoming. The duties of this position include grassroots organizing of TU members and other hunters and anglers in the field. Staff member will also meet and coordinate with local community representatives, legislative officials, state and federal fish and wildlife and land management agencies and the media. These campaigns will demonstrate the benefits of responsibly developing energy on our public
lands while protecting fish and wildlife habitats essential to maintaining our hunting and fishing heritage in Wyoming.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work with a wide range of
partners.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Professional experience in natural resource management, land protection
and public land energy development highly desirable.
• Experience with media and public outreach.
• Background in hunting and/or fishing.
The position will be located in Wyoming; the Rock Springs and Green River areas are
highly desirable due to the vast energy development in the region. Other locations within
the State of Wyoming will be considered.
