For the past 9 months I have been working with the wonderful folks over at *ONE/Northwest *and the *Web Collective*, both out of Seattle, on the new hcn.org.  Built on the powerful open-source platform *Plone*, the new site gives us greater control over our content, more flexibility, and simply put, the ability to do more "cool ....cont.

From our friends

Tremendously good

"If you don’t read the High Country News, you should: it is a tremendously good independent source for environmental news, particularly news affecting the Intermountain West. And particularly given the collapse in a lot of good journalism, it is important to support it."  -- Jonathan Zasloff, LegalPlanet

Sweet-talk from a loyal reader:

"I have been a loyal reader ever since the famous/infamous roadkill issue, years back. I just wanted to note that I regard HCN as the finest magazine I have ever read in my life and it keeps being so."

Tim Kingston, California
