Felice Pace
Born into the Italian Community in South Philadelphia, Felice attended Yale on a scholarship where he learned that there is a ruling class in this country epitomized by classmate George W. Bush. After graduation Felice joined the New Jersey Urban Education Core, taught in Trenton, New Jersey and began teaching outdoor, adventure-based education. Felice moved to Northern California's Scott River Basin in 1975 where he began working with Native American children. He also worked for Siskiyou County Mental Health where he founded an outdoor adventure program for juvenile delinquents and troubled youth. In the 80s Felice helped found the Klamath Forest Alliance which he directed for 15 years. Felice became a well known forest activist, was selected to sit with Clinton and Gore at their Portland Forest Conference and promoted policies that led to Clinton's Jobs-in-the-Woods program. After moving to the mouth of the Klamath River and four years as social services director for the Yurok Tribe, Felice now does contract work for the Seventh Generation Fund for Indigenous Development, writes KlamBlog and for GOAT Blog, publishes in Counterpunch and other publications and engages in independent activism on forest, Klamath River and Palestinian Rights issues. Felice is divorced with two grown children
