beautiful job of celebrating your origins and vital present. I count on High Country News, in the high rises of Manhattan that I live in, to keep fresh the vision and the realities of the West.

Very nice historic coverage of HCN, its vision and its current and future importance to the West and the country. I am a big fan.

Deborah,
Your video on High Country News put a face to what in my mind has been more of a legend. The folks we meet and the stories we hear make the paper human and give it a heartbeat, not just a place in history. Great job!
fabulous video!

Thanks for this professional, beautifully rendered video. It tells an inspiring story of commitment to an idea. I most enjoyed learning how widespread that commitment is. Not only the founder and those who've worked for the magazine stand behind it, but so do readers.
Great 40th Anniversary video!

Deborah Fryer did a beautiful job of showing the land and the people behind High Country News, how it evolved and how it is today. I'm going to one of the anniversary parties and plan to donate, but the video inspired me to subscribe and increase my donation. Good job--true video art about an artful environmental magazine.
fine work

Fabulous video. It poignantly shows what a valuable institution HCN is. And it also reminds me how fortunate I was to intern for the paper (it was a newspaper back then!) in the mid-1990s.

Browsers can be set to not allow cookies, and some people choose to disallow cookies for security reasons. If your browser is setup this way, please consider adding "www.hcn.org" as an exception to your no-cookies rule. For information about how to do this, just search the Web for "browser cookie exceptions."

If you're sure this isn't the problem, then it could be related to how your browser has stored information from our site in previous visits. Browsers often "cache" images, text and other website content in order to make them appear faster if you ever go back. Sometimes the browser's cache can be corrupted or become outdated. The simplest fix for this is to try reloading the page. If that doesn't fix the problem, it may be necessary to clear your temporary items from your browser. Again, a web search will provide you with lots of options and instructions.
