We often love the west to death. In the process of wanting to be in a beautiful place with the greatest of views, the best viewing of wildlife, and the open space "to get out of the rat race" (which never happens, and the open space beyond will also be chewed up for development sooner than later) we are destroying the very thing we yearn for and desire.
